Well, Albertans.
You raged about being called the "embarrassing cousins" of confederation.
Yet you tore up hundreds of lawn signs. Mowed them down with your pickup trucks. Sawed them in half with chainsaws. Spray painted them with swastikas and penises and racist remarks. You scratched curse words into people's vehicles, let air out of their tires and urinated on them. You lit a candidate’s own sign on fire in his own yard.
And don't give me the bullshit "the other guys are doing it too". Because they are not.
What is WRONG with you?
Yeah, I get that you are pissed off that you aren't making the same kind of money you used to. Maybe you lost your job. But put the blame where it belongs.
The global economy doesn't care about you. The "free market" is based on supply and demand and our oil and gas based economy is taking a beating.The US is cranking out shale gas like there is no tomorrow. Global demand is decreasing. The free market got us where we are today.
I know you are proud of yourselves. You won the election. You "united the right". You "took Alberta back".
You have not united Alberta.
And I would like you to think about this-where do we go from here?
